Class one starts with effectively selecting keywords. This class outlines a step by step process on how to select the keywords that are appropriate for your website. You start with a brainstorming session and then process the keywords through a series of free tools that are available on the internet. There are many ways to determine your keywords but this gives you a beginning look. I found it very frustrating reading over and over how important it was to select the right keywords - but I never located a "finding keywords for dummies" list. So I have developed a no-kidding you follow these steps and you will have a completed list at the end. I also included a practical application in the class. I used this exact same process - in order to ensure I didn't miss any steps - to develop the keywords for this site. Boy was I supervised at my results! Even if you have keywords identified - go through this process. If you were right on, no harm done, you know for sure about the correctness of your word. But you may be surprised too! - And find your own little niche. Class Two is how to utilize the keywords in your website. I break down keywords into two groups primary and secondary. The goal here is to break down the keyword selection and plan on how and where you are going to use them in you site. I personally believe that search engine strategies are much easier to conceptualize and implement with a plan. So we are going to take our most excellent keywords and plan on how we are going to use them for the best search engine placement. Again I try to keep this very simple and there will be step by step instruction. Class three is applying these keywords into your website. In this class I am also adding step by step instructions on how to get this information into your website. We are going to focus on the web designer on-site optimization. Off-site optimization and on-site content get their own tutorials. I will be throwing terms at you like META tags, TITLE tags, and ALT Image tags. Not to worry again we will take it step by step. By the end of tutorial one you will be ready to tackle Tutorial Two - Content!!
